Whether you fly in from SFO or Oakland airport, we suggest renting a car to enjoy the 2 hour + road trip up the coast. Bodega Bay is a sweet town to stop for a quick lunch right off the highway. However, Ubers and Lyfts are available as well.
SAN FRANCISCO (SFO)
SFO is a convenient options when flying from Denver/Steamboat, Southern California or the East Coast. However, please keep in mind that typically there are flight delays due to the layer of fog that sits over San Francisco. Traffic is also an obstacle in the city. If you do decide to come through SFO, make sure to drive over the Golden Gate Bridge and through the lovely neighborhoods of Marin!
We definitely think Oakland is the best option. Southwest flies here from Denver and Burbank airports and has many flights throughout the day.
